Sir, - I wish to protest on behalf of the poor beleaguered gorilla. Contrary to Mr Tony Quinn's suggestion (October 2nd), this magnificent animal could not possibly depict the less desirable side of Irish society. The gorilla is gentle (when not provoked), an exemplary parent, and a devoted family member.
Has anyone considered that in gorilla eyes we may appear extremely ugly? - Yours, etc.,
