Sir, - I find it hard to believe that in the current public transport/traffic chaos, hackney cabs are still not allowed to use the numerous bus lanes around Dublin.
I am led to believe that there are in excess of 3,000 hackney cabs in operation in Dublin city, i.e., 3,000 hackney cabs stuck in traffic. Why not grant these cab drivers use of the bus lanes now and double their efficiency?
