Sir, – Regarding giving money to street beggars (“People urged to give money to charity not beggars”, Home News, February 1st), I would rather give a few coppers directly to a street beggar than donate to one of those official charities whose CEOs earn salaries in excess of €100,000 per anum. – Yours, etc,
