Madam, - I would like to point out the inaccuracy of the headline, "No Traveller children enrolled in Educate Together schools" (October 13th).
In Ennis Educate Together National School we have children from many ethnic groups including Travellers. Children from Traveller families have attended Ennis Educate Together NS since 1999.
These children come from both settled and transient Traveller families. We also have access to a shared resource teacher for Travellers based in our school and we are supported by the Visiting Teacher for Travellers Scheme.
As in all Educate Together schools we have an open, first come, first served enrolment policy with no room for discrimination. - Yours, etc.,
