Madam, - I was thrilled to re-visit Dublin (after a five-year lapse) on 28th December for about 8 hours (far too short) as a passenger on the P&O Pride of Bilbao cruise ship on her first visit to Dublin from her home port of Portsmouth.

This letter is really to say "well done" to Dublin Bus and in particular its drivers who included Michael and Francis. What a fantastic "céad míle fáilte" they gave to us all as they entertained us with their great humour, jokes and information about the sights of Dublin. Dublin should be rightly proud of these guys who make Dublin such a great place with such appeal.

It's just a pity that their panache and spirit could not extend to the resurrection of Bewleys Cafes. This icon of Dublin heritage is no more and is so sadly missed. Thank God Molly Malone is still there! - Yours, etc.,
