Madam, - In reply to Mrs Eva Kearney (April 10th) I would like to assure your readers that the religious education programme for the Catholic primary schools of Ireland deals with the commandments as follows: Introduction to the Decalogue (Alive-O 5); first and fourth commandments (Alive-O 5); the two great commandments of Jesus (Alive-O 6); the complete Decalogue (Alive-O 7); the precepts implied in the Our Father (Alive-O 7); the commands implied in Matthew 25:31-46 (Alive-O 7); the complete decalogue and the precepts of the church in "Walk in my Presence".
The beatitudes are also treated in full throughout the programme. - Yours, etc.,
