Sir, – Your fine photograph of sandpipers flying over a wintery Sandymount Strand on your front page (Nick Bradshaw, December 29th) gives a glimpse of the many pleasures our beautiful Dublin strand can offer. Shallow and tidal it certainly is, as your caption describes, but a mudflat it most definitely is not. – Yours, etc,
