Sir, - John C. Cotter (April 2nd) appears to believe that the rest of the world only lives and breathes thanks to the United States of America, and how dare your Harry Browne or anyone else think otherwise. Perhaps Mr Cotter might have the answer to a question I've long been pondering.
Why, during the dreadful apartheid period in South Africa, did the US not go charging in with the usual cry of "freedom and democracy"? - Yours, etc.,
