Sir, – As it did for Maria Croyden (“Know Your Onions”, Letters, July 21st), social media came to my aid recently in answer to my horrified call for help on finding mouse droppings in my kitchen.
Family and neighbours rallied round and by night-fall four traps were baited, a pest deterrent was plugged in and two cats were on standby, as was my kind neighbour who agreed to collect any resulting corpse(s) the following morning.
Thankfully so far his services have not been required . – Yours, etc,
