Sir, – I’m a Dubliner living in Galway for 30 years or more. The city was full of long-term rental places until about 12 years ago. Now pretty much every rental property is short term.

What is the point in living in a place when all your neighbours are just here for a few days and a walk around a hollowed out town?

I would like to wake up one morning and say hello to a long-term rental neighbour for once. – Yours, etc,
