Sir, – I see that there is a chronic shortage of teachers in Dublin but a surplus in Mayo (News, August 30th).

The obvious answer is to provide subsidised rental accommodation or a weighting allowance, like most other capital cities, before it is too late.

Great to see Mayo getting one up on the Dubs. – Yours, etc,
