Sir, – Those who have no issue driving around with registration plates completely masked in dirt, hauling a trailer with a registration plate bearing no relation to the vehicle doing the hauling (and often without functioning indicators or brake lights), plates celebrating apparent “Just Married” occupants, hand-written plates, or simply no plates at all, need not worry when the powers that be get around to rolling out cameras nationwide. They can happily continue their illegal jaunting without any fear of being detected. – Yours, etc,
