Sir, – I’ve just read that Tánaiste Micheál Martin has ruled out a deal with Sinn Féin after the next general election (News, September 12th).
Bear in mind, on January 23rd, 2020, he ruled out a “grand coalition” with Fine Gael at the last election, saying that “people wanted change”.
The phrase “pinch of salt” come to mind. – Yours, etc,
