Cool Hibernia?

Could our temperate climate be a unique selling point?

Sir, — Patsy McGarry (“In a Word... Cool”, July 30th) reckons that if Ireland wants to cash in on the transformation that global warming has wrought upon the world, our temperate climate should be a unique selling point as a tourist destination. He blithely suggests we “get rid of that Fáilte Ireland moniker” and replace it with the ultra-hip “Cool Ireland”. But “Cool Hibernia” has an, er, cooler ring to it, don’t you think? — Yours, etc,
