In yesterday's article on the use of language for evasion and obfuscation in the politics of Northern Ireland, a sentence inadvertently conveyed the opposite meaning to what was intended. It should have read "All of the parties have blatantly attempted so far, at all costs, to avoid formally defining `negotiations' or what might actually be negotiated".
