In a letter in yesterday's editions under the heading "Upholding the Tricolour" the word "prelude" appeared as "preclude" in the sentence which should have read: And because the nationality represented by the Irish Tricolour is one which, as conceived by its founder Davis, was not to prelude civil war . . .
