Ricardo Medina (36), the actor best-known for playing the Red Power Ranger in the original Power Rangers TV show, has been arrested on suspicion of having murdered his housemate in Palmdale, California.

The Los Angeles County Sherriff's office released a statement on Saturday saying that Medina had been arrested on suspicion of having stabbed Joshua Sutter (36) with a sword.

According to the statement, the two had gotten into an argument that resulted in a physical altercation. Medina had then gone to his bedroom with his girlfriend, but Sutter followed him and forced the door open. Medina then stabbed Sutter in the abdomen with a sword he kept near his bedroom door.

The police statement says Medina himself rang 911 and waited for the police to arrive. He has been arrested and his bail has been posted at $1 million dollars .
