Spanish first division club Valencia have made a €45 million offer for Juventus's French World Cup winning striker David Trezeguet, an Italian paper reported today.
Valencia official Jorge Mendez has had talks during the last few days with Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi over buying the 25-year-old French international striker, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
During the meeting Mendez made an offer for Trezeguet but it appears Moggi made it clear they would not be selling the Frenchman at any price. The paper believes Valencia may be willing to up the fee to €60 million.
Trezeguet, who scored the golden goal in the Euro 2000 final, is one of Juventus' star players, helping the club to the Italian championship during the last two seasons and who has scored 47 goals in his three years at the club.
