Islamabad - The United Nations and Taliban officials yesterday signed a security agreement paving the way for the return of UN international staff to Afghanistan, officials said.

The agreement was signed by the Taliban regime's planning minister, Mr Qari Din Mohammad, and UN acting coordinator on humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan, Mr Ahmad Farah, after four days of talks.
