Two men are recovering in hospital today after being the victims of separate paramilitary-style attacks in Belfast.

Two men are recovering in hospital today after being the victims of separate paramilitary-style attacks in Belfast.

In the first assault, a man (23) was shot in both legs in the north of the city shortly after 10pm last night.

The second attack happened yesterday at around 6pm, when a man was beaten by a number of attackers at the Shankill Parade area of the city.
