Tunis - President Zine alAbidine Ben Ali has appointed an economist, Mr Mohamed Ghannouchi, as the country's new Prime Minister, replacing Mr Hamed Karoui, officials said yesterday. Mr Ben Ali was elected last month for a third five-year term. Mr Ghannouchi (58) was a minister in the outgoing government.
