A TRIAL date of June 24th has been set in Liverpool for a former St Patrick's Athletic footballer accused of plotting to export heroin to the Republic through Manchester Airport on January 5th. Mr Derek Duane, of Alfie Byrne House,

Dublin, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court yesterday. Mr Dunne (28) has pleaded not guilty to conspiring with others to export heroin to the Republic between July 1st, 1994, and March 21st last year.
