Worthing - A burglar who broke into a home in Worthing, West Sussex, yesterday switched from one of the local stations to Radio 4 while ransacking bedrooms, it emerged yesterday. Champagne, antiques, cash and jewellery worth more than £3,000 were stolen in the raid.

Householder Mr Tony Mayes (55), who returned from touring France with his wife Eileen, said: "The bedroom radio alarm had been tuned to a local station but after the burglary it was tuned to Radio 4."
