Harms Way is a free game with a really nice concept: You play either a gun-turret operator or a driver. As a gunner, you switch between turrets in a bid to stop cars from circling the track. When playing as a driver, your task is to win a race and avoid bullets, bombs, missiles and falling debris. Not surprisingly, this works especially well as a multiplayer game – and you can compete and collaborate. It’s housed in nice bluesy music and an attractive desert setting, quite reminiscent of Mad Max II – all battered vehicles and bullets and dust. This is a limited game, and probably won’t trouble any end-of-year best-of lists, and it’s far easier to play as a gunner than driver. But still – it’s a good concept and fun title and, thus, well worth the €0.00 price tag.
