The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) is urging home economics teachers to introduce a new food safety training course for transition-year students. The Environmental Health Officers' Association course could educate 25,000 students on good food safety and hygiene practices, according to Ms Edel Conway of the FSAI.
