Taoiseach Brian Cowen travels to Prague today for the start of a new European partnership.
The Eastern Partnership between the European Union and six neighbouring countries will be launched in the capital of the Czech Republic.
Agreed by the European Union Heads of State and Government at their European Council meeting in March, the initiative has been a priority of the Czech presidency.
It provides a framework for improved relations and cooperation between the EU and six neighbouring countries to the east - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
