Irish printing group Oakhill this morning said it had achieved a pre-tax profit of €636,00 in the first six-months of the year.

That figure was down from €449,000 a year earlier due in part to the strength of the euro. The company also said it expects the trading environment to remain "competitive" for the rest of the year.

For the six months to end June, Oakhill sales from continuing operations were €23 million, against €23.5 million.

Excluding the effect of exchange rate movements, sales from continuing operations were up 6 per cent on last year.
