Rudolf Straeuli has been named as the new South African rugby coach.
The 39-year-old Coastal Sharks boss replaces Harry Viljoen, who resigned in January due to media pressure after the Springboks suffered one of their worst ever seasons last year.
Cardiff director of rugby Rudy Joubert had also been shortlisted by SA Rugby (Pty) Ltd. SA Rugby announced in February that it had shortlisted four candidates out of 35 applicants.
