Steinmetz, Howe included in Ulster line-up

Glasgow v Ulster

Glasgow v Ulster

Former All Black star Paul Steinmetz and late Ireland replacement Tyrone Howe have been included in Ulster's line-up ahead of their Celtic Cup semi-final showdown away to Glasgow this Friday night.

Steinmetz will make his first full start for the province and will partner Ryan Constable in the centre, while Howe will start on the left wing. Howe returned from Australia after spending a week there with the Irish squad as a late call-up.

The pack remains unchanged from that which lined-out in Galway last weekend. If there is any concern it rests with second row Matt Mustchin who took a knock on the leg last week. As a precaution Gary Longwell will travel as a 23rd player and if Mustchin is not fit Frost will start and Longwell will take his place on the bench.

Simon Best and Neil Doak, who both returned from Australia with the Irish squad today, have both been named on the bench. Paddy Wallace, not named in the side, will turn out for Ballymena on Saturday to help regain match fitness. If Doak plays less than 30 minutes on Friday, he too will line-out for his club on Saturday.

Kick-off in Glasgow on Friday night is at 7.30p.m.
