Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is to submit his full Gaza pullout plan to a cabinet vote despite opposition from hardline ministers within his own Likud party.

Mr Sharon proposed a watered-down plan for the evacuation of only three of 21 Jewish settlements in Gaza yesterday.

But when Likud ministers objected to that, he withdrew the offer and in a surprise move said he would put his original plan to a vote on Sunday.
