Sex-abuse charges against a former hospital consultant were adjourned until February 26th at Drogheda District Court yesterday as a judicial review of the matter is still before the High Court.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has since retired. Mr Garrett Sheehan, solicitor, said a hearing was anticipated in January or February. Judge Flann Brennan granted the application and said the man need not appear on that date.
