Seven escape petrol bomb attack in Belfast

Seven people escaped injury when a petrol bomb was thrown into their home in Belfast today.

Seven people escaped injury when a petrol bomb was thrown into their home in Belfast today.

A man was arrested over the attack in the south of the city.

A device was thrown through a smashed downstairs window of the property in Tates Avenue shortly after midnight, setting bedroom furniture alight.

Firefighters were called and managed to extinguish the fire.

Detectives appealed for any witnesses to contact them, but police did not suggest the attack was sectarian.
