Ryanair said today it carried 1.379 million passengers in October compared to the same month last year, with over 90 per cent of tickets sold via its website.

In the 12 months to October 31st, 2002, passenger numbers were 13.602 million and load factor or available seat occupancy was 85 per cent.

The percentage of seats sold via the Ryanair website was 92 per cent in October against 87 per cent in the same month last year.

Ryanair yesterday reported a pre-tax profit of €168.7 million for the six months to the end of September, up 65 per cent on the same period last year.
