The RUC reconstructed the moments leading to the Omagh massacre at the weekend in an effort to jog witnesses' memories and trace those who planted the bomb.

Detectives handed out leaflets to shoppers on Saturday as plainclothes officers drove around the town centre in a replica of the car which carried the 500lb device.

Detectives believe the maroon Vauxhall Cavalier, bearing the false registration number MBZ 5211, was parked outside S.D. Kells drapers at the bottom of Market Street between 2 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. on August 15th. The car was stolen in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, two days earlier.
