The PSNI have arrested a number of people in connection with their investigation into the murder of fifteen year-old Catholic schoolboy Michael McIlveen in Co Antrim.
A man and a woman were arrested in Ballymena and are being questioned about allegedly assisting an offender as part of the investigation into the death of Michael McIlveen in Ballymena, Co Antrim, in May.
A teenage boy was also detained over a conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Michael "Mickybo" McIlveen, a St Patrick's College pupil, was ambushed and beaten by a 30-strong gang after being chased through the town in what was widely accepted as a sectarian attack.
The murder caused an uproar and led to clergymen and public representatives calling for an end to sectarian tensions in the town.
So far, seven people, including a number of juveniles, have been charged with offences connected to the killing.
