The Premier League have yet to fine struggling Portsmouth over a number of rule breaches this season.
League officials are understood to be in discussions with Portsmouth regarding a number of rule breaches but the club have yet to be given any financial penalties.
Press Association Sport also understands that, if a fine were to be handed out to Pompey, it is likely to be a substantial six-figure sum that would be withheld from future TV income.
Morning reports suggested that Pompey had already been handed a €1.1 million fine, but the Premier League's talks with the club are still ongoing and so far Pompey have not been punished.
The club have left themselves open to financial penalties under Premier League rules. The breaches are understood to relate to the late payment of wages to its playing staff and to late payment of outstanding transfer cash.
Earlier this season the Premier League used €7.8 million of TV money due to Pompey to pay off outstanding transfer fees to other clubs.
Portsmouth entered administration in February and a nine-point deduction was confirmed last week to leave them facing almost certain relegation.
