Postmortem due on body taken from sea at Doolin

A postmortem on the body of the third man involved in the triple drowning tragedy off the Co Clare coast last bank holiday Monday is due to take place later today.

The body of Tulla man Joseph O'Callaghan (34) was last night recovered from the sea at Doolin, and his family members were at Doolin when his body was recovered.

The State Pathologist, Dr Maire Cassidy, will commence the postmortem at Limerick's Mid-Western Hospital at 2pm.

Mr O'Callaghan was with friends Martin Griffin (24) and Michael Doran (31) in a jeep that fell 70 feet into the sea at Doonagore Bay in Doolin shortly after 10am on the 31st of October.

The recovery of the third body took place just hours after the burial of Mr Doran in Ennis yesterday.
