Washington - A US team that inspected a damaged US surveillance plane in China reported that the EP-3 could be repaired and flown out of an air base on Hainan Island, a Pentagon official said yesterday. "There was a brief call back in which they said it could be repaired and was flyable," the official said. The five member team from Lockheed Martin were due to fly back to Hawaii for debriefings and to review what they found, the official said.
