Daniel O'Donnell is tipped to crash into the British Top 10 at the weekend and raise thousands for charity, despite being snubbed by many national radio stations throughout Britain.

O'Donnell is expected on sales predictions to enter the singles chart at No 5 on Sunday to score his biggest hit. His song, Give A Little Love, is in aid of the Romanian Challenge Appeal for which he is hoping to raise £1 million to help build a halfway house to integrate orphans into society.

A delighted O'Donnell said yesterday: "It's great news about the single and it's great for the charity. I don't think it's been playlisted by many of the national stations, but I would imagine it has been played by some of the local ones."

O'Donnell visited an orphanage at Siret in Romania to make the video for the single and was shocked by what he saw. "They were sleeping 30 to a room and had no stimulation at all. We want to be able to provide a halfway house and teach them some skills that will be beneficial and maybe for some of them to be fostered or adopted," he said.

It is only the second series of commercials for the teabags not to feature the famous chimps. The last was several years ago when Tony Robinson, alias Baldrick from Blackadder, starred in a one-off advertising campaign.

In the new campaign, Ms Aherne appears as a rude checkout girl who criticises all a customer's items on the conveyer belt until she comes to the tea bags, scans the price and says: "Is that right? Not as pricey as other brands, and a cracking cuppa."
