The parents of missing children Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman have made a desperate plea for their daughters' abductor to bring them home.

Police believe the 10-year-olds were snatched as they walked in their home town of Soham, Cambridgeshire, last Sunday night.

Jessica's mother Sharon begged their captor: "Just give them back".

She told ITV's Tonight with Trevor McDonald: "Drop them off somewhere that is safe . . . It's never too late . . . I just want them back".

The two families told of their fears for their daughters, including the nightmare that they could have been snatched by someone they knew.

Police are investigating the possibility because there have been no reported struggles or sounds of screams, suggesting the girls could have gone willingly.
