Athlone's Colm Moriarty and Portmarnock's Noel Fox have been named as part of the Britain and Ireland Walker Cup side which will face the United States at Ganton next month.
The official announcement of the team is expected at midday today, but both players were informed of their selection to the team before they competed at the Mullingar Scratch Cup yesterday.
The pair's selection sees the number of Irish representatives selected to Walker Cup sides now number 30, since 1924.
