Students taking post Leaving Cert courses which are over a year long can take part in the Students Summer Jobs scheme for the first time this year, the Minister for Social Welfare, Mr De Rossa, has announced.
He said about 400 to 500 students are likely to participate. Students on one year PLC courses are entitled to claim unemployment assistance after graduation.
