MEXICO CITY - President Ernesto Zedillo last night sacked his Attorney General, Mr Antonio Lozano. He named as a replacement Mr Jorge Madrazo.

David Shanks adds: The change is likely to end speculation that the former Mexican president, Mr Curlos Salinas, would be interviewed in Dublin this week over a September 1994 political murder, of which his brother is accused. Mr Salinas was to be questioned as a witness, not a suspect.
