The sub committee on Northern Ireland had a "very frank" discussion on the pence process with Sir Patrick Mayhew during a one day visit to London yesterday.
Mr Jim O'Keeffe, committee chairman, said they had raised several issues with Sir Patrick, including the forum ground rules, the transfer of republican prisoners and in particular the case of Mr Patrick Kelly, who has skin cancer.
