A 15-YEAR-OLD from Co Meath has been charged with first degree murder and robbery after a raid on a delicatessen in Lawrence, New York, in which a 32-year-old cashier was killed.

The teenager who lives with his Irish mother in the Queens area of New York was said by police to have been caught on video holding up the store with another man who shot dead the cashier. Despite being a juvenile, the teenager will be tried as an adult and could face a sentence of 25 years to life.
