The Minister for Finance, Mr McCreevy (49), married his long-time partner, Noeleen, in Dublin on Saturday. The ceremony took place in the new register office at Sir Patrick Dun's hospital, Dublin, with a reception in the K Club in Co Kildare.
The reception was restricted to a small group of family and friends, and it is believed Government colleagues were not invited.
Mr McCreevy has three grown-up daughters and a son with his first wife, from whom he has been separated for 17 years. The couple were granted a divorce by the Circuit Court in Naas, Co Kildare, last month. Mr McCreevy and his new wife have three young sons.
