Twenty new jobs are to be created by Irish technology company Mapflow to support its expansion into overseas markets, the company announced today.
Formerly known as The IRIS Group, Mapflow develops location-based technology and currently employs 40 people in Dublin. The new jobs are being created in software engineering and business development.
Speaking at a reception to launch the company's re-branding as Mapflow, the company's chief executive Mr Richard Bryce said overseas revenues should increase from the current level of 10 per cent to over 40 per cent within the next 12 months.
According to Mr Bryce, key targets for the company during the coming 12 months will be the main wireless infrastructure and integration providers such as Nokia, Nortel, Ericsson, Lucent, Siemens, Logica and CMG.
Mapflow's flagship product, LocationAgent is an XML and Java based LBS platform which enables wireless carriers and corporates deliver feature rich location based services to their subscribers.
