Police in Co Antrim are investigating the explosion of a gas cylinder that seriously injured a man in his home.

Police in Co Antrim are investigating the explosion of a gas cylinder that seriously injured a man in his home.

The blast at the terraced house at Dufferin Avenue, Bangor, at 11 p.m. last night caused extensive damage.

It is understood the injured man was thrown over 30 metres by the explosion and is in a serious but stable condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
