Man stabbed in the neck in Cork city attack

A man suffering from stab wounds to the neck was taken to hospital in Cork in a critical condition early this morning.

A man suffering from stab wounds to the neck was taken to hospital in Cork in a critical condition early this morning.

The Garda says the man was stabbed with either a knife or a bottle at around 2.45 a.m. this morning. They say he appears to have been involved in a row outside a takeaway restaurant on Washington Street in Cork city.

The man’s injuries are not thought life-threatening.
