Man killed by milkfloat in Belfast

A milkman was killed today after being trapped by his float.

A milkman was killed today after being trapped by his float.

The victim, in his 40s, was on his rounds when the accident happened in north Belfast.

It is believed the vehicle's hand brake may not have been properly applied when it started to roll, fatally colliding with the milkman on Sunningdale Drive.

Police, who do not suspect a crime, said the accident happened at around 6am.

The man was later named as Harry Kerr, of Tavanagh Street, Belfast.
